HELP KIDS SOLVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS FUN MYSTERY BOARD!
Our free solution-focused counseling activity for kids is a fun way to help kids solve problems. Just cut, fold, and paste a few pieces of paper, and you’ll have yourself a Mystery Board! Which helps make talking about finding solutions fun! In addition, you’ll find a printable poster to go along with the resource, too.
There are 9 open-ended questions hiding behind the paper flaps:
- What do you hope will happen instead of what is bothering you?
- Can you be 100% sure that your thought is 100% true? What else could be possible?
- What is the worst thing that could happen? What is the best thing that could happen?
- What is something has helped you move closer to your goal or hope so far? Even if it has just been a little help.Â
- What are 2-3 small steps you can take which will help move you closer to your goal?
- If you could wave a magic wand and things changed in the way you’d like, how would you know magic had happened? What would be different?
- When is a time you faced a similar problem, and what did you do that helped?
- If the worst really did happen, what could you do to cope, and who could help you?
- Lastly, what would you advise your best friend if they were dealing with a similar challenge?
