Description

DOWNLOAD OUR FEELINGS CHECK-IN AND SEL JOURNAL FREEBIE!

Students love our free social emotional learning activities, sampled from our SEL JOURNAL BUNDLE. This download contains 10 different journal pages, each teaching different SEL skills in addition to helping you check in on your students’ social and emotional wellness.

Specifically, each prompt includes a feelings a scale for emotion identification. According to many teachers and counselors who have used this with their students, this feelings check-in is often the most helpful part of the resource as it provides adults insight into where students are at and how they’re doing emotionally.

For instance, topics include self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsibility and decision-making.

Great for morning meetings, journal writing, and school counseling interventions. You can use virtually or in person (available in both Google Slides™ and printable formats).  In addition, the pdfs come in color and black and white printable options.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

This resource was SO helpful for my mental health, emotions, and empathy lesson for 2nd and 3rd grade. We worked on these worksheets together and my students loved them — They were very engaging, easy to read and digest, and really got them to think critically about empathy. Highly recommend!

I found the Check In Journal to align nicely with our SEL summer boot camp curriculum. We used the journal in a way to not only supplement our SEL competencies but to reinforce the way in which to apply these competencies in a way our students could relate. The graphics are enjoyable and the page layout is easy to use.

I used this with two students in the last couple of days and it was the safe place one of my students needed to process a new situation in his life and for the other student a non threatening way (not too much writing dyslexic student) for her to start to notice her emotions. Thanks so much for what you do its making a real difference in students lives.
